What are the Risks?
Unfortunately, while relatively peculiar, complications with laser liposuction do occur. You may experience an adverse reaction to the anesthesia. You may also suffer fluid loss, blood clotting, or infection. Any of these more serious complications can actually lead to death.
Less serious difficulties include numbing or excessive pigmentation of the skin, bruising and scarring. When complications of any kind do arise, they are more likely to happen in a case of excessive treatment, such as too much fat removed in one session.
What’s the Bottom Line on Laser Lipo?
Don’t jump in too swiftly! Any surgery, non-invasive or not, requires serious consideration on your part. Do your homework. Pick your procedure, and your surgeon, with at least as much care as you’d take in putting a new roof and siding on your house!
